Weekly lesson plans for ELA 11 are below. Please check this if you are absent before you ask me what you missed.
Monday, November 12: Attendance; personal reading; Shakespeare biography and quiz. Target: I can explain how the events of Shakespeare’s life may have influenced his writing.
Tuesday, November 13: Attendance; personal reading; select roles and start Act I of Macbeth. Target: I can explain the witches’ prophecies in Act I
Wednesday, November 14: Attendance; personal reading; finish Act I and complete Type I for review. Target: I can evaluate Lady Macbeth’s character in Act I.
Thursday, November 15: Attendance; personal reading; Type I due; read Act II of Macbeth. Target: I can infer the meaning of Macbeth’s “dagger” speech.
Friday, November 16: Attendance; personal reading; finish Act II of Macbeth; complete Type I for review; preview Pericles Funeral Oration. Target: I can explain the succession of Scottish Kings in medieval times.
Monday, November 19: Attendance; personal reading; extended metaphor and the Gettysburg Address w/Pericles. Target: I can identify the most important word in the Gettysburg Address.
Tuesday, November 20: Attendance; personal reading; Media Literacy lessons/Story Corps introduction; ½ day in-service for staff. Target: I can make a list of people to interview for Story Corps.
Wednesday, November 21: Thanksgiving Break starts--have a safe holiday!
